BACKGROUND
Graduate of Eastbourne School of Art & Design, studied under Robert Tavener, Master printmaker and illustrator. She worked in window display for Galleries Lafayette; then magazine layout & production for IPC magazines before moving abroad.
Leila has lived in Italy, Germany, Australia, America, Scotland, Wales and Sussex; studying, painting, exhibiting & selling her work during these adventures. She has also taken inspiration from visits to other locations including; Hong Kong, Thailand, New Zealand, Malawi, Paris and Spain. Leila has recently settled down and now has a studio near Ludlow., in the heart of England.
Leila is fully involved with the local community and recently exhibited with HArt, at the Hereford Gallery & Museum, and at The Print Shed at Madley. She is also a member of the Ludlow Art Society exhibiting with them during their 65th Summer Exhibition in Ludlow, and a member of The Sidney Nolan Group at the Rodd, at Presteigne.
The Mortimer Forest, the Welsh Marches and nature in general are a great source of inspiration translated into etchings, linocut prints, cards and canvases. Recent work also includes the theme of Rhythm, Texture & Movement using mixed media to bring canvases to life. While print in all forms continues to be an ongoing adventure.

HArt Hereford Museum & Gallery September 2011. Leila's etching of the Mortimer Forest was chosen for this select exhibition.
Ludlow Art Society 65th Annual Summer Exhibition August 2011.
Yarpole Flower Festival, Herefordshire. Paintings were exhibited alongside floral arrangements to make a superb, orginal show.

'Art is an Ongoing Adventure' was the title of her one-man exhibition in Toowoomba, Australia. July 2006. She exhibited regularly with the Toowoomba Art Society, winning Best in Show at the Toowoomba Flower Festival, in 2007.
